DE102012011435A1

DE102012011435A1 relates to an inhalation device that can be attached to the nose to allow comfortable use with minimal breathing discomfort. The underlying problem is to provide an inhalation device that effectively delivers the active ingredients to be inhaled while causing little discomfort and restricting breathing as little as possible.

The special trick here (cf. Fig. 3 from DE102012011435A1) is that the inhalation device has a housing 3.1 with two spaced receptacles for active ingredient reservoirs 3.2 filled with storage material and an elastic U-shaped connecting element 3.3 for these active ingredient reservoirs 3.2.

The housing 3.1 and the connecting element 3.3 position the active ingredient reservoirs 3.2 on the nasal septum, secure them with minimal pressure and ensure comfortable attachment.

The housing is miniaturized to guide the main flow of breathing air along the nasal mucous membranes and impair breathing as little as possible.

In contrast, in the closest prior art D2 (DE19814324C1), it is impossible to form a U-shaped connection (see Fig. 1 in D2), as otherwise the (open) lower ends would be closed, which, however, are essential in D2 in order to be able to inhale.
