Welcoming JIPA to its 14-day F04 seminar in Germany!

It was a great pleasure to host our esteemed seminar participants from the Japan Intellectual Property Association (JIPA) and we were delighted and honored to spend some intensive days with them.

Our three eventful days were packed with a great mix of basic, new and high-level intellectual property discussions, deep dives into patent law, and cultural highlights:

Day 1:

Interactive presentations and workshops at our firm focused on EPO practice, novelty, prior art, and inventive step, followed by a visit to the historic Weihenstephan Brewery, the oldest brewery in the world.

Day 2:

A scenic excursion to Neuschwanstein Castle, Oberammergau and Ettal Abbey with our colleagues from Munich to introduce our guests to the rich history and landscapes of Bavaria.

Day 3:

A visit to the Deutsches Museum and the German Patent and Trade Mark Office (GPTO) for an insightful office introduction, followed by an afternoon session on claim construction and equivalence.

Thank you to the entire delegation for making these days so memorable. It was a pleasure connecting with such warm, curious, and engaging guests on a professional and personal level.
